Gender neutral toilets are becoming increasingly common in schools; it is non-gender specific and anyone can use the toilets. I think that these would be good in my school as I am predicting that most (but not all) of the staff and students would be female, however, there may be some male staff, students or visitors to the school and these must be provided for. By using gender neutral toilets it means that I do not have to use space to place toilets which may not be used into the building; all of the toilets can be used by all pupils and this will save space and resources.
Although most schools which have used this method have created a system of having males on one side and females of the other, this would work within my school as, although it may be presumed that one side is male and one is female, there is nothing to say that women couldn't use the men's if they wanted to and it is not going to be an invasion of privacy if they do as all the toilets are in cubicles.
