Bridge House in Mar del Plata, Argentina, was designed by Amancio Williams in the 1940s in an area of his fathers land.
It was inspired by works of the Modernist movement such as Farnsworth House by Mies Van Der Rohe and Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier.
The main structure is reinforced concrete, and the interior is mostly wooden. I cannot use concrete in my design but I think that the shape and concept are good and that I could use them as inspiration for my project. I think that the shape of the arch with the flat building on top could work well on the canal because it will allow boats to pass underneath while people can still walk across the top easily. This will require steps to the level however and may cause accessibility problems which means that less people will be able to use it.
